Oh, it's just a hair thing!

I had been meaning to write a review for ages on my friend Natasha's work. She's a hair stylist and colorist from Cork City. Besides being one of the sweetest girls I know, she's also pretty darn talented when it comes to all things hair. I'm one of those people who avoids the hairdresser like others avoid the dentist. My stomach turns at the thought of spending over 100 euro on a color I might not like and speaking from experience, more often than not I leave a salon feeling like shit basically with a hair colour or cut that I didn't ask for.

When I was introduced to Natasha over 2 years ago, I've really experimented with colour more, because I can really trust her. She's based in Douglas and does colour from her home. She charges in and around 60 euro and is so flexible for appointments.

Here's a few photos of past colours and styles she has done:

Not only can she do hair, she is also a features ed. for Irish  Irish Hairdresser International Magazine, one half of Lippy & Lox  and a freelance writer. Check out her blog here her instagram here or contact her on facebook here

Don't be shy to make contact, if I know Tash like I think I do, she will be MORE than accommodating.

Can I have S'more?

Thanks to the beautiful Rose from The Londoner blog, I came across this daringly indulgent recipe for S'moreos. They looked pretty yummy when I saw them on her blog and Holy Moly was I right!?

These little bites of heaven are perfect for chilly nights when the fire is lighting and you're in the mood for stuffing your face. They are so easy and fun to make... if you don't mind sticky fingers and dripping chocolate.

All you need is:
Oreos
Marshmallows
Chocolate

Twist the top off of an Oreo, take a skewer and pop a marshmallow on the top. Hover the skewer over a flame unti the marshmallow is golden and gooey. Put a square of your favourite chocolate on the bottom half of the oreo, put the melted marshmallow on top and seal it with the top of the Oreo.

TADAAAAAAA...

*Warning*  Addictive. Diners may also experience prolonged feelings of guilt and regret after polishing off the whole pack of Oreo's. Minimal consumption advised.

Spring has sprung

A new year, a new blog. Spring is officially here and for the first time in a while, life is looking pretty great. Although past months brought about a wealth of trepidation and defeat, time has passed and I have realized I have in fact so much to be grateful for and so many exciting things on the horizon. Frankly, I can't complain about a thing. There's a Sunday roast in the oven, the dark, murky days of winter are behind us and a new page has turned.

So here I am, sitting in my mother's kitchen (after a much deserved sleep in) pondering. After very little deliberation I have concluded that I wanted to start this new blog. I have blogged before but I lost interest in what I was blogging about. I decided that even if nobody reads this or perhaps my life is actually pretty boring everyone out here in cyberspace, at least I'd have a little nook that I could come to and write down my thoughts and share all of the happy things in my life with somebody else.

So if you enjoy my updates, please subscribe. I suppose it would be nice to know that somebody out there enjoys a little slice of what is inside this dreamer's noggin.
